"Staying Inside, Staying In Touch" by Daisy Gonzalez

Updated: Jan 1, 2021

I cannot process the fact that we are already are going to enter into October.

This is the month of new beginnings, warm sweaters, cold air, and drinking hot cocoa.

I look forward to taking care of myself and journaling. I actually started my senior year a few weeks ago in September. I'm currently doing online school I am not sure when this whole thing will end. it feels weird talking to your teachers over a digital screen. I'm very used to socializing with my friends and joking around in the hallways. Although school is pretty draining, I do miss that certain aspect of the school, Socialization. On another note, It's a tradition for my grandparents to come over every year from all the way from Mexico to visit me and my family. I love when they bring back delicious goodies and warm tight hugs. But since Corona has kept me and my grandparents apart, I stumbled upon the Quaranteen Pen Pal program on Tik Tok. When I curiously applied to become a pen pal, I never knew I would be forever grateful that I signed up to be apart of this wonderful program. Ever since I wrote my first letter, to my first senior, my new love for writing blossomed. I didn't know, how exciting it was to write down a letter to someone who you never met before. It gave me unexpected serotonin. I can’t wait to write my future letters. Take good care of yourself and wear a mask!
