PEN PAL APPLICATION
Write penpal lettters to seniors
Anybody can apply! We are partnered with senior living homes centered in the St. Louis region, but we are looking for teens all around the world to participate as pen pals! We have two options for teen pen pals explained in detail below: two-way letters or one-way letters. You can choose one or the other, or you can participate in both options. For each letter written, volunteers can earn 1/2-1 hour of volunteering. Volunteers are required to send at least one letter per month. These volunteer hours will be submitted, vetted, and tracked on a spread sheet once pen pal pairs are assigned. In order to be a teen pen pal, please fill out the google form found at the bottom of the page to be accepted into the organization.
TWO-WAY LETTERS
one teen to one senior
In the two-way letter program, you will send personalized letters each month to the same senior pen pal who will respond back to you. You will be able to form a deep relationship with the one senior you are writing to while brightening their day. Many seniors are feeling isolated and lonely during the COVID-19 pandemic, and you can help them form a new friendship during these times!
ONE-WAY LETTERS
one teen to multiple seniors
In our new one-way letters program, teens create connections by writing letters of encouragement that can be read aloud to an individual or a group, without the need for a response back. Keeping in touch with our older community members helps them feel less isolated during these uncertain times. You will be able to send a letter of encouragement or just tell them about your week.This is a great option for senior homes with dementia and Alzheimers patients (or for seniors who would like to stay anonymous). As part of the one-way letters, a teen will be able to write to multiple seniors each month.

If you are interested in joining QuaranTeen Pals as a one-way pen pal and/or a two-way pen pal, please fill out the google form below to be accepted into the organization. Once you are accepted, you will be given access to the Google Classroom, which is where the pairing google forms are located.
